Outline

Solid grease sealed in solid grease bearing is a lubricant mainly composed of grease and resin. At room temperature, they are greasy, but after a heating and then cooling (called heat treatment), they will harden while retaining a large amount of lubricant. As the solid grease is solidified after heat treatment, the lubricant will not leak easily even when strong vibration or huge centrifugal force acts on the bearing. In this way, the lubricant leakage can be effectively prevented and the service life can be prolonged. The solid grease bearing has a multi-point filling pattern on the cage, and a full filling pattern that almost fills the entire bearing space volume.

The standard style of deep groove ball bearings, micro and small ball bearings and spherical ball bearings with seats is the point insertion method. The standard style of self-aligning ball bearing, self-aligning roller bearing and needle roller bearing is full filling method.

Speciality

(1) Less lubricant leakage

As the solid grease is solidified after heat treatment, a large amount of lubricant is retained inside. These lubricants are gradually supplied to the rolling surface through the heating and centrifugal force of the bearing, thus reducing the leakage of lubricants. Therefore, compared with ordinary lubricating grease, it can also prevent pollution to the surrounding environment.

(2) Excellent lubrication characteristics

Even when strong vibration or huge centrifugal force acts on the bearing, the lubricant is not easy to leak. In addition, because it is a solid, it will not emulsify and flow out even if water invades, so the lubricating performance is better than that of ordinary grease.

(3) Bearing torque

In the point insertion method, solid grease is not stirred like lubricating grease, so there is almost no stirring resistance, and the reduction of bearing torque is very desirable.

(4) Sealing effect

Although solid grease provides a barrier to prevent the invasion of external impurities (moisture, dust, etc.), it is not a sealing device after all. Therefore, when sealing performance is especially required, it is recommended to use contact rubber seal rings (deep groove ball bearings, spherical ball bearings with seats) or other forms of seal rings (other bearings).
